A fast-growing small rounded shrub with grass-like, needle-like, broom-like phyllodes (leaves) that grows 1-3 metres tall and displays cylindrical golden yellow flowers that occur between May to August in its natural range.
Occurs naturally over the northern parts of Australia including Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Queensland.
Adaptable to most soils but prefers sandy or rocky soil in a sunny position. Drought and frost resistant.

The best time to sow Acacia seed is autumn, Late winter and spring.
