A Genovese-type variety of basil with purple leaf that is strongly scented with a spicy clove, aniseed aroma. A great variety for cooking, topping and in fresh salad dishes.
Bred in the UK it is a more vigorous grower and a stronger colour than other purple varieties of basil.
A generous producer, with a good branching habits on plants to 45cm in height that can be grown in the herb garden or flower garden for added colour and compact enough for growing in containers.
Grow notes:
Adaptable to most well-drained soil in a protected sunny position with an adequate amount of water.
