An African vegetable Ethiopian Cabbage is a large open leafed cabbage that grows to a height of about 1.5m and a width of about 1m with small yellow flowers.
The smooth green leaves have a rich, buttery, mustardly taste are rich in glucosinolates, folic acid and vitamin C.

Use in salads, stir fries, soups, or simply just steamed.
A hardy variety of Brassica that is cold tolerant and performs well in the garden. Flowers attracts bees and insects.

Also known as Ethiopian Kale or Abyssinian Cabbage.

Grow notes:

Adaptable to most garden soils that is composted and well-drained in a sunny position.

Sub-Tropical: Late Autumn to Early Winter 
Temperate: Late Summer to Early Autumn or Spring.
Cold: Summer to Early Autumn.

Sow: 6 mm deep.
Grow in trays of a good seed raising mix or sow direct where they are to grow
Germination: 86-10 days.
Plant space: 50cm
Row space: 50cm
Maturity: 7 weeks

Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants.
