Double and Semi-Double forms of this popular wildflower bloom in a range of colours from spring through to autumn on a compact growing plant. California Poppies are a charming addition to the garden and are easy to grow and require virtually no care. Self-sows freely.
Adaptable to most well-drained garden soils in an open sunny position. Tolerant to poor sandy soils and drought and frost resistant.
Tropical: Winter to early summer.
Sub-tropical: Winter to early summer.
Temperate: Late winter to mid-summer.
Cold: Spring early summer.
Sow: 2-3mm deep, cover lightly and gently firm.
For best results sow directly into the soil where they are to grow. If grown early indoors use a growing container that can be planted directly into the soil such as jiffy pots as seedlings do not like root disturbance.

Flowering: 8-10 weeks
Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants
