Clarkia unguiculata is a species of wildflower native to California and can be found in chaparral, foothills, and grassland area and is common on the forest floor and many oak woodlands.
The attractive flowers can vary in colour from pink, lavender, or white. Flowers occur in spring and summer.

Also commonly known as Elegant Clarkia, the genus was named after William Clark of the Lewis & Clark Expedition of 1804 - 1806.

Suitable for meadow planting, beds and borders, wildflower mixtures, and pollinator gardens where it attracts bees and other beneficial insects.

Grow notes:

Adaptable to most soils and drought and frost resistant. Full sun to part shade.

Cool climate: Late Summer to Mid-Autumn.

Sow: 1mm deep
Best sown direct or sow in trays and transplanted when large enough to handle.
Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny position.
