Cosmos ladybird is a small, compact dwarf variety of cosmos that produces an attractive mix of semi-double flowers in a bright range of oranges, reds, and yellows. It creates illuminating displays towards the front of borders or in patio containers.
Cosmos are suitable for beds, borders, and pollinator gardens, where they attract birds, butterflies, bees, and other beneficial insects.
Cosmos is excellent for cutting, bedding, or as an attractive pot plant for summer. It looks great when planted in meadows and cottage gardens.
Cosmos makes superb cut flowers with a vase life of 5-7 days. Harvest the blooms in the early morning, selecting stems with just-opened flowers.

Cosmos sulphureus originates from the wildflower meadows of Mexico, Central America, and northern South America and has become naturalized in other parts of North and South America Europe, Asia, and Australia.
The best time of year to sow Cosmos seeds is mid-spring to mid-summer in cold zones.
In temperate zones, the best time is early spring to mid-summer. In tropical zones seed should be sown in the dry mid-Autumn to late winter is best.

Germination: 14-21 days at a soil temperature of 20-25°C
