Introduced from Armenia to Italy in the1400s, this attractive crisp cucumber that stays sweet even when the fruit is large.
Thin skinned and dense flesh these cucumbers have few seeds and a pleasant mild flavour. Actually a melon with a taste like a cucumber it is burp less and easy to digest. Like the English cucumber, it doesn't need to be peeled or seeded.
It grows equally well on the ground or on a trellis. The fruit grows approximately 72-90 cm (30-36")

Adaptable to most good garden soils that is well-drained in a sunny position; provide adequate food and water.

Sow: 1cm deep
Best sown direct in a sunny well drained position 3-4 seeds in a mound. Thin to the strongest two plants in each mound.
