Also known as the "Fleabane Daisy" Erigeron speciosus is a prolific blooming perennial that produces violet flowers in spring and summer attracting beneficial butterflies and insects.
The Erigeron speciosus will form clumps that can be divided when they begin to overlap.
An adaptable member Asteraceae family that tolerates dry to moist soils but prefers well-drained soil that is not too rich. Grows best in full to partial shade. Does well in the home garden, rock garden, and pollinator garden or in reclamation.
An American wildflower that occurs in western Canada and the United States, from Alberta and British Columbia south as far as Arizona and New Mexico.
Tropical: Winter
Temperate: Late Autumn to early spring.
Cold: Autumn to mid-spring.
Sow: Sow on the surface and firm into the soil, covering just enough to hold the seed in place.
For best results sow directly into the soil where they are to grow.
Germination: 14-21 days
