An evergreen small tree with an erect stem and graceful branches with a smooth greyish bark. Glossy pale green leaves that are curved and narrowly lanceolate 10 cm long.
Light brown hemispheric flower buds with peaked caps occur in groups of 3 to 7 opening to white or pink flowers from spring to summer are followed by dark green quadrangular valved capsules.
Endemic to South Western Australia.
Adapts to a wide range of soils providing it is free draining but prefers a medium gravelly soil in an open sunny position, drought resistant but frost tender.
Although seed can be sown most of the year around if you avoid the coldest and hottest months of the year, the best time to sow is generally spring.
Germination generally occurs in around 10-28 days at a soil temperature of 18-22°C
