A stunning flowering tree with drooping flowers that can be almost 5 cm wide. These flowers bloom from autumn to spring.
A small, dense tree that grows 2-5 meters tall and a similar width This tree has beautiful red or cream flowers with silvery caps that appear in winter and spring. The smooth bark of this tree sheds in strips during summer and autumn, exposing shades of grey and pink. This eucalyptus can grow in both light and heavy clay soils, and it's a fast-growing tree that thrives in sunny positions.
Occurs naturally in the IBRA Regions of Avon Wheatbelt, Geraldton Sandplains and Swan Coastal Plain in Western Australia.
Prefers sandy loams in an open sunny position, drought and frost-resistant.
Although seeds can be sown most of the year if you avoid the coldest and hottest months, spring is generally the best time to sow.
The grow mix should be well-draining, preferably with organic compost. This will replicate the soil they require in nature.
A potting mix is not recommended.
Germination occurs in around 10-28 days at a soil temperature of 18-22°C
