The white Tree Mallow is a lovely Old-Fashioned plant with hibiscus-like flowers that are pure white and have just a touch of pink when in bud.
A delightful variety that blooms in 65 days from seeding.
It makes a superb border specimen and looks excellent in old-fashioned cottage gardens.
An easy-to-grow annual, it prefers full sun and moderate to moist conditions.
Native to the Mediterranean region the Tree Mallow is a member of the Malvaceae family which also includes hibiscus and Hollyhock.
Grow notes:
Prefers fertile moist well-drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded position.
Tropical: Autumn to Early Winter.
Temperate: Late Summer & Autumn.
Cool climate: Mid-Summer to Late Autumn.
Sow: 6 mm deep
Best sown in trays and transplant when large enough to handle.
