It’s easy to see how the common name ‘poached egg plant’ evolved as the middle of the flower looks like the yolk of an egg with the white of the egg around the outside.
Low growing plant that can be used as a ground cover with great effect. Great for borders or containers. Self sows freely.
Adaptable to a wide range of moist well-drained soils in a sunny position.

Tropical: Autumn & Winter.
Temperate: All Seasons.
Cool climate: Spring, Summer & Autumn.
Sow: 1-2mm deep
Sow direct in the growing position for best results. If sowing in trays transplant when large enough to handle avoiding excessive root disturbance.
