Mrs. Clibran has a compact growth habit with leafy branching stems covered in brilliant deep blue flowers with white eyes. Lobelia is ideal for filling baskets and containers or spilling over low walls and rockeries.
Prefers a light to medium soil in an open sunny position. Thrives in less than average soils, frost resistant but drought tender.
Tropical: Late Summer to Autumn.
Temperate: Late Summer to Autumn.
Cool climate: Late Summer to early Autumn or Spring.
Sow: 1mm deep. Do not sow deeply.
Sow direct in the growing position for best results. If sowing in trays transplant when large enough to handle avoiding excessive root disturbance.
