Nematode Control Marigold is a new solution for controlling nematodes in crop fields, which provides a safer and more environmentally friendly alternative to chemical nematicides and fumigants. Nematode infestations can cause extensive damage, resulting in millions of dollars in losses every year.
This innovative product is especially beneficial for crops such as potato, tomato, tobacco, cucurbits, soybean and squash.
To use Nematode Control Marigold, simply plant the Marigold cover crop prior to planting the cash crop, and then till it into the soil as green manure. If you live in an area with short growing seasons, it is recommended to grow the Marigold as a cover crop during the previous season.
The optimal time to plant marigolds in Australia is spring or early summer. This will allow ample time for the plants to establish their roots before the scorching summer sun arrives.
As marigolds are not frost-resistant, it is crucial to wait until the risk of frost has passed before planting them outdoors.
Tropical: Autumn, Winter and Spring

- Sow 5-6mm deep directly in the growing position
- If sowing in trays or containers, transplant when large enough to handle.
- For mass planting, scatter the seed and rake over just enough to cover the seed.
Germination: 7-10 days at 24-28°C

- Please do not be too hasty to discard seeds that do not germinate; seeds will often lay dormant until the conditions are similar to their natural germination requirements.
- As with all seeds, they must have adequate water to keep them moist but not too wet.
