This stunning mix of single-flowered corn poppy has crepe paper-like petals and comes in shades of red, pink, white, and bicoloured.

Corn poppies are a valuable component of wildflower and pollinator seed mixtures, as well as cottage gardens.
Honeybees and other beneficial insects are attracted to the flowers for their pollen.
Poppies always look more dramatic when planted in mass, a must for every spring garden. Self-sows freely.

Adaptable to most well-drained garden soils in an open sunny position. Tolerant to poor sandy soils, drought, and frost resistance.

Papaver rhoeas poppies are native to Europe where they can be found in cultivated fields, meadows, and roadsides.

Tropical: Autumn to early winter.
Temperate: Late summer and autumn.
Cold: Late summer and early autumn.

Show: 2-3mm deep, cover lightly and gently firm.
For best results, sow directly into the soil where they are to grow.
Germination:14-21 days @ 16-24°C

*Please note:

  • Please do not be too hasty in discarding seeds that do not germinate; seeds will often lay dormant until conditions are similar to their natural germination requirements.
  • All seeds must have adequate water to germinate; keep them moist but not too wet.
  • These growth notes are provided as guidance only and do not guarantee successful germination.
  • Customers should do their due diligence and ensure they are suited to their region.
