Curled Parsley is a biennial herb that is typically cultivated as an annual. These plants usually grow to a height of 30-40 cm and thrive in sunny locations, although they can also tolerate light shade. They can be grown in containers both indoors and outdoors, making them a versatile addition to any garden.
Curled Parsley is a popular herb that is commonly used for both flavouring and garnishing foods. It is rich in vitamins and minerals and is known for its natural breath-freshening properties. This versatile herb can be used to add flavour and texture to a variety of dishes, including salads, sauces, vegetables, eggs, soups, and stews.
Adaptable to most good garden soil but will be more productive if grown in well-drained soil with added organic matter in a sunny position.
The best time to sow the seed is in Spring after the last frost.
- Soak the seeds in water for 24 hours before planting. This will help soften the seed coat and speed up the germination process.
- Plant the seeds in well-draining soil as they prefer moist soil but don’t like to be waterlogged.
- Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil and keep them moist but not wet.
- Position the pots in a warm and bright location, but not in direct sunlight.
- Once the seedlings emerge, you can transplant them into individual pots or your garden
