A short growing bush pea around 50 cm in height Massey Gem is a very popular variety with sweet tasting peas with a great favour that are ready to pick in around 12 weeks.
Ideal for growing in small areas or containers.
Grow notes:
Tropical: Autumn and Winter.
Temperate: Late Summer to late Winter.
Cold: Early Winter to early Spring
Sow: 2cm deep.
Soaking seed overnight prior to sowing helps with the up-take of moisture for germination. Best sown direct in growing position in moist soil.
Germination: 7-10 days.
Plant space: 5cm
Row space: 1 metre
Maturity: 10-12 weeks
Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants.
Adaptable to most good garden soils, prefers an open sunny position.
