An very old Spamish heirloom radish with large round roots 7.5-10 cm (3-4”) diameter and with black skin, but the flesh is white and succulent. Can be used as a vegetable in soups and stews but generally sliced or grated into salads, cool to mild flavour radish.
Radish grow best in a sunny position.
Tropical: All Seasons.
Temperate: Spring, Summer & Autumn.
Cool climate: Spring & Summer..
Sow: Direct in drills in growing position. Thin to 3-5cm apart at two leaf stage.
