A healthy variety of sunflowers for eating raw, roasted, or oil.
Appealing to the health-conscious “Nutrisun” produce sunflower oils that are a nutritional replacement for unhealthy, partially hydrogenated oils rich in trans fatty acids.
The oil produced is a high stearic, high oleic "solid oil" that contains zero trans-fat and serves as an alternative to highly saturated oils like coconut and palm.
Grow notes:
Tropical: Year-round
Sub-tropical: Spring to summer
Temperate: Spring to summer
Cold: Late spring to mid-summer.
Sow: Sow 2cm (¾”) deep direct into the flowering position.
Germination: 7-14 days
