Growing 45-90cm tall “Ohio" Spiderwort is a perennial plant that produces blue-green grass-like foliage and flower stalks that bear clusters of blue flowers during spring and early summer.
These flowers tend to close in the afternoon when the weather is sunny. However, on cloudy days, the flowers remain open for longer.

Best to sow directly or in trays in late autumn, planting just below the surface of the soil and covering lightly Germination will occur when the weather warms around 21°C. Keep the soil lightly moist until germination.
For spring sowing, mix the seeds with moist sand and store them in the refrigerator for 5 weeks before sowing out in spring.
