A fast-growing attractive Perennial, it is often grown annually to 50 cm tall. It produces masses of flowers in many colours, including pink, red, white, and purple. It is great for bedding and borders.
Plants typically self-seed in the garden, dropping their seeds on the soil at the end of the season; if left undisturbed, they may germinate and grow the following season.
Deadheading will prolong blooming.
Adaptable to most well-drained garden soils in an open sunny position. Performs well in well-drained ordinary soils.

For best results, sow 6mm deep directly into the soil where they are to grow. If growing in trays, transplant when large enough to handle.
Tropical: Late Summer to Early Spring.
Temperate: Spring or Late-Summer and Autumn.
Cold: Spring to Early Summer
Germination: 21-28 days at a soil temperature of 21-24°C.

- Please do not be too hasty in discarding seeds that do not germinate; seeds will often lay dormant until conditions are similar to their natural germination requirements.
- As with all seeds, they must have adequate water to keep them moist but not too wet.
