This Moss Verbena contains various colours, including reds, pinks, purple and white in various shades.
A spreading perennial that has lovely, aromatic fern-like foliage and a beautiful mix of flowers. It is long-blooming, makes a great ground cover, or can be used for permanent erosion control. In colder climates, it can be treated as an annual.
It is more vigorous than its hybrid cousins, so it is best planted at the front of a mixed border or in a container.
According to ancient legends, Moss Verbena was associated with supernatural power and was even used to prepare Jesus's body for burial.
Verbena are drought-tolerant, making them a hardy and low-maintenance choice for your garden.
For best results, sow 6mm deep directly into the soil where they are to grow. If growing in trays, transplant when large enough to handle.
