An early to a mid-season maturing variety of medium-sized "Diploid All Sweet Type in the Red Tiger class" that produces oblong melons approx 36-38cm long and 20cm in diameter with good external colour with a dark stripe. Melons have a high-quality deep red crispy internal flesh and a small pipe size.
Fruits have a low seed count and thick rind and a sweet flavour.
A popular pollinator for seedless production.
Plants produce excellent uniformity and high yields with good disease resistance to Co:1 and Fon:1

Best sown directly early in the season. For earlier planting in cooler climates raise in pots in warm conditions and transplant after 3-4 weeks. Requires temperatures of around 18-20°C for germination.
Sow in rows 40-60cm between plants and in rows 120cm apart
If sowing direct, plant 3-4 seeds 15mm deep in mounds, later thinning to the two strongest plants.
Plant in free-draining soil in a position with full sun.
For best results fertilise and keep well watered, keep the soil moist and avoid overhead watering where possible.
Harvest after 75-90 days when the stem turns brown and begins to break away from the fruit.
