This beautiful Dahlia-flowered Zinnia has large, double blooms that are blushing in colour. These blooms are 10-12cm in diameter and last long, making them perfect for cut flowers. Zinnias are among the easiest annuals to grow and are ideal for cut flowers.
Native to Mexico, this species has fast-growing flowers that bloom for a long time. Zinnias are great for cut flowers and ideal for pollinator plantings as they are very attractive to butterflies. They are perfect for beds, borders, and mass planting.
Zinnia is a warm-season plant and is best grown in well-drained soil in a sunny position.
- Best sown 6 mm directly where they are to grow.
- If sowing in trays transplant when large enough to handle.
- If mass planting as a meadow scatter seeds and rake over.
Tropical: Winter to Late Summer.
Temperate: Spring & Early Summer.
Cool climate: Spring and early Summer.
Germination: 7-14 days at a soil temperature of 20-24°C
