An attractive hardy erect or spreading shrub with long slender branches that produce deep yellow flowers 20-35mm long and 6mm in diameter that occur from June to October.
The Willow Leafed Wattle is recommended for both its flowers and foliage. The foliage is narrow, curved willow-like phyllodes (leaves) 17cm long.
Occurs naturally in the IBRA Subregions of the Eastern Goldfield, Eastern Mallee, Eastern Murchison, Geraldton Hills, Merredin, Perth, Southern Cross, Tallering and Western Murchison in Western Australia.
Prefers light well-drained soil in a sunny position with some protection from harsh winds. It is drought and frost resistant.
Acacia is easy to propagate from seed.
The best time to sow Acacia seed is autumn, Late winter and spring.
Germination: Typically occurs within two weeks.
