Cape Forget-Me-Not is an herbaceous biennial that is native to South Africa and produces true blue flowers the first year. Flowering occurs in spring and summer and is borne in clusters on the top half of the stems. Each of the beautiful flowers consists of 5 bright blue petals and 5 feathery white scales in the centre. An attractive species that contrasts well with white, rose and yellow flowers in the garden.
Ideal for rock gardens, borders, containers, pollinator gardens or mass planning.
Attracts beneficial insects to the garden.
Sow: 3mm deep.
Sow direct or sow in trays and transplant when large enough to handle.
Tropical climates: Early Spring to Late Autumn
Temperate climates: Spring to Late Autumn.
Cold climates: Mid-Spring to Autumn.
Germination: 5-10 days
