The Money Plant is an old-fashioned garden plant that is mostly grown for the papery silvery-white seed pods that resemble silver dollars.
A mix of lavender to pink flowers is followed by unique seed pods that are very popular for dried flower arrangements.
Lunaria is an ideal plant for naturalizing in borders, woodlands, or wild gardens.
A biennial plant that is often grown as an annual.
Grow notes:
Adaptable to most garden soils but prefers a moist shady area.
Tropical: Autumn to Early Spring.
Temperate: Late Summer-Autumn or Late Winter to Mid-Spring
Cool climates: Spring or Late Summer to Mid-Autumn.
Sow: 3mm deep
Best sown direct or sow in trays and transplant when large enough to handle.
Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny position.
Plant space: 40-50cm
Germination: 10-14 days
Flowering: 10-12 weeks
